We are incredibly proud to count Stephen Brown as our current 2023-24 President of Rotary Club of Central Launceston. We heartily congratulate Stephen on his passion for the community and massive contribution to City Mission as CEO.City Mission CEO announces retirement.City Mission North & North West TAS CEO Mr Stephen Brown is stepping down at the end of September 2024. “Whilst I’ve enjoyed every moment of this role, I feel now is the right time to transition, both for myself and from the Mission’s perspective," said Mr Brown.Mr Brown has led City Mission for the past 12 years as CEO and has been instrumental in growing City Mission programs and services, supporting local communities, across the North and North West.City Mission Chair, Tim Holder, commended Mr Brown for his exceptional service and dedication to both City Mission and the broader Northern Communities. "Stephen has done a remarkable job building and strengthening the organisation," said Mr Holder. "Today, City Mission is seven times larger, employing over 210 people, and is supported by more than 450 volunteers." We’re a dynamic club with a proud history over 35 years. Members of all ages meeting every Monday between 1 and 2pm in the city centre. Meetings are action packed including lunch together with an interesting guest speaker to help us keep our fingers on the pulse of what’s happening locally and globally.

You might like to become a member. If so contact us below and we’ll be in touch to discuss having you as a guest at lunch.

Alternatively you can become a Friend of Rotary and sign up as a volunteer for our various programs including assisting on Sally’s Ride and other community events, or direct impact such as helping kids at Ravenswood Heights Primary School learn to read.
